BE THE REASON FOR HEAVEN’S JOY

Key verse:

“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons which need no repentance.”

—Luke 15:7

Soul winning is the heartbeat of GOD, as JESUS said, “the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” —Luke 19:10.

Therefore, the Great Commission should be every true believer’s number one focus as we go about our daily activities; we must take advantage of wherever we find ourselves, either at work, home or marketplace, to share the Gospel of CHRIST with people.

That is the only way to give joy to HEAVEN, as we read from our text.

However, sadly, many Christians are like the Pharisees; careless about the perishing souls of men. Hence, they have blatantly refused to present CHRIST to men.

Here in Luke 15, especially the verse 4, our LORD JESUS pointed out once again the hypocrisy of the Pharisees, who cared much about their animals, and less about the souls of men.

The average believer today cares much about their jobs, properties, reputation, etc, and would so go to every length to secure them.

Yet, they would do almost nothing to secure or help secure a soul for CHRIST. What a shame.

What joy does HEAVEN get when we find a good job, a beautiful car, or even build a new house? HEAVEN only rejoices, when a lost soul is brought to the knowledge of GOD’S great Love for humanity and to the Lordship of CHRIST.

Let us go out there today with all the resources we can gather to win a soul for CHRIST, so as to be the reason for HEAVEN’S joy.
