IN GOD’S COMMONWEALTH

Key Verse:

“Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

that at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

but now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

and that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

and came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.”

According to Wikipedia, “The Commonwealth of Nations, often simply referred to as the Commonwealth, is an international association of 56 member states, the vast majority of which are former territories of the British Empire from which it developed.”

This political association is stationed to provide special benefits or common goals for its members here on earth.

From our reading, the Spirit of GOD took us back to our former terrible state as people without GOD.

In that state, we had no part of GOD’S Covenant and because of that, we were ceased from HIS Commonwealth.

This means that all the benefits of knowing CHRIST eluded us. But by the special Grace of GOD and through the blood of JESUS, we are saved by faith in HIM and joined together unto HIS Chosen Ones.

Today, we share common spiritual and physical goals and benefits such as HEAVEN, The Gift of the HOLY SPIRIT, Salvation, Mercy, Security, Goodness and many more.

Beloved, there is no place in this world with as much benefits than in GOD’S Commonwealth. The earthly commonwealth association will one day come to an end but, the Commonwealth of GOD stands forever!

Let's continue to remain in it as we await the special coming of our Great KING—JESUS CHRIST.

For the members of this Heavenly association have this Blessed Assurance:

“But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven, and from it also we earnestly and patiently await [the coming of] the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] Savior,

Who will transform and fashion anew the body of our humiliation to conform to and be like the body of His glory and majesty, by exerting that power which enables Him even to subject everything to Himself.”
