Main Reading: John 11:1ff;
“Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.
(It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)
Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.”
~ John 11:1-5 KJV
There is a story about a man who always passed by the Church to greet JESUS every morning before he went to work.
This seemingly humorous action of this man continued for many days until one day he wasn't able to perform this duty because he was hospitalised.
On his hospital bed, when all hope was lost and he was at the point of death, he had a vision wherein he saw a Man visit him.
This special Man told him that, He had not seen him for many days so He also came to visit him. After this encounter with the Man, he regained his strength.
CHRIST JESUS has been tested by all litmus tests and has been proven that He is the Greatest Friend of all times.
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
~ John 15:13 KJV
Lazarus and his sisters chose Him as their friend and they were not confounded. The Glory of God was shown in their lives.
Why don't you do the same today? By befriending Him and surrendering your life to Him, He will be there for you.
“…for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
Hebrews 13:5b KJV
Though all the world may rise against us, let us cling to the Rock of Ages that never fails.
Let us cleave to HIM and make HIM our Friend against all the odds this world hurls or presents our way—though all may forsake us for this decision. But, by so doing, we will find a never-failing Friend and Companion.
Quote: When JESUS is your Friend, the world will be your foe. But always remember, HE is a Friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
