Key verse: Romans 12:6
"In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you."
Romans 12:6 NLT
As we all know, gifts aren’t given by merit but as their giver desires.
The LORD in HIS infinite mercies has saved us from perdition. Not only has HE done so, but has called us out and made us members of HIS body so that we may show forth HIS glory.
In so doing, HE disseminates diverse gifts to us according to HIS will for the edification of HIS body—the Church.
Many are the gifts and it’s mandatory that we make profitable use of these gifts no matter how daunting a task it will be.
We should always count ourselves privileged to be used by GOD.
Our refusal to use GOD’s gifts profitably doesn’t rob GOD of anything, for HE still remains GOD and never lacks a means of reaching out to HIS people.
As Barak was hesitant to fight to bring honour to GOD and in so doing to himself, and yet, the battle against Sisera was fought and was used to achieve GOD’s intended mandate in Judges 4:8-9.
This clearly shows how indispensable we are in the hands of GOD if we refuse to make use of whatever gift we’ve been blessed with. HE always has alternative vessels ready at hand if we refuse to avail ourselves unto HIM.
We do not only lose the honour that comes with it, but we stand the risk of incurring GOD’s indignation just like the unwise servant who dug and hid his master’s talent in the earth (Matthew 25:18).
If that is the case, then whatever gift or strength we have from GOD should be put into good use with carefulness and total humility as directed by the MASTER.
Let us humbly remember—to whom much is given much is expected. So, we should make hay while the sun shines.
For a time comes when one may wish to serve all they can but it might be too late. We should always have it at the forefront of our minds that we will have an account to give one day.
And, beloved, that Day of Reckoning is not far at all. Why wait any longer when GOD is willing to do exploits through you and us all?
“…but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”
Daniel 11:32
Quote: When I stand before God at the end of age, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of gift left, and would say, "I used everything you gave me."
AMEN
Amen amen may the Lord continue to help us to fulfill his will on Earth in Jesus name.
